You will have the opportunity to work across a wide range of programs, and we can offer flexible hours including evening and weekend work.  All roles will attract casual loading, and certain programs will also offer extra penalty rates.

The roles of Home Support Worker and Community Support Worker entail supporting people with disabilities with home care and with community access.

Mandatory Requirements/Qualifications

  • Current VIC Employee Working With Children Check
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • International Police check if you have lived outside Australia in the last 5 years
  • Current Level 2 First Aid (minimum HLTAID003)
  • Current CPR (HLTAID001)

Desirable

  • Certificate III in Community Services (or equivalent)
  • Certificate IV in Community Services (or equivalent)
  • Diploma in Community Services (or equivalent)
  • Driver's Licence

*Please note: whilst relevant experience and a Cert IV in Disability is desirable, the Y is willing to consider candidates with a passion for working in the disability sector and have relevant life experience.

Selection Criteria

  • Experience in Disability Services Sector is preferred, however not necessary.
  • Understanding of Disability Services Guidelines.
  • Passionate about providing care to meet individual participants needs.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and calmly under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills
  • Access to a smart phone to comply with organisational timesheet and CIMS requirements
