Look no further! Y Whittlesea is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers for permanent seasonal positions within our Holiday Program.

Y Whittlesea is a not-for-profit that happens to be the oldest youth organisation in the world and oldest social enterprise where all profits go back into our communities. 

We are passionate about delivering person-centred support, services and programs. We empower people with a disability, providing them with opportunities to participate in inclusive and innovative programs. At Y Whittlesea, we provide the foundation for people to achieve their goals and empower them to lead dignified lives.

What's the opportunity?

As we continue to grow, we are looking for passionate disability support workers to join our Holiday Program on a permanent seasonal basis.

Our holiday programs support individuals to achieve personal goals during the school holiday period through fun, engaging and educational activities.

Each program will provide people with disability the opportunity to improve social skills and confidence, supporting their communication and participate in wellness activities.

As a Disability Support Worker for the Holiday Program, your primary responsibility is to provide assistance and support to people with a disability during the holiday period. You will ensure the safety, well-being, and inclusion of people with disabilities in all program activities. 

What do we hope you'll bring?

  • You need the legal right to live and work in Australia. (Sorry - it is what it is).
  • A genuine passion for working in the disability sector
  • Experience in Disability Services Sector (Just starting out? We'd love to hear from you too!)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Being flexible and reliable
  • Willingness to give 110% attention to building life skills and the care of people with disability; then we would love to hear from you.
  • Current Employee Working with Children 
  • Current NDIS Worker Clearance Check
  • International Police check if you have lived outside Australia in the last 5 years
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate 
  • Oh, and here’s another one. We trust you. We also care about you. In return, you’ll bring an innate work ethic, respect and care for others, and consistent integrity to all that you do.
