Express your Interest in Future Opportunities
At Y Whittlesea, we're always interested in connecting with passionate, qualified Early Childhood Teachers (ECT) who are committed to fostering nurturing, engaging and inclusive learning environments for young children at our Kindergartens.
While we may not have a current vacancy at your preferred Kindergarten right now, we always welcome expressions of interest from ECTs who align with our values and philosophy. As our services grow and evolve, new opportunities often arise - and by registering your interest, you'll be among the first to hear when they do.
As an ECT with the Y, your days will be a whirlwind of laughter, imagination, and endless wonder! You become a storyteller, capturing the hearts and minds of children with tales of adventure and excitement. You transform into an artist, exploring colors, shapes, and textures through messy play and creative crafts. You become a scientist, sparking curiosity with hands-on experiments and exploration of the natural world. You'll create a safe and nurturing environment where little learners flourish - embracing their individuality and discovering their potential.
Who on earth are we?
Y Whittlesea is a not-for-profit that happens to be the oldest youth organisation in the world and oldest social enterprise where all profits go back into our communities. Our Early Learning spaces are where little imaginations thrive! Our vibrant environments inspire young minds through play and learning. Our caring ECTs create a safe and stimulating space for laughter, creativity, and friendship. With engaging activities and outdoor adventures, we foster a love of learning. At the Y, we are passionate about building a close-knit community.
Why join the Y?
What do we hope you'll bring?
Why might the Y not be right for me?
We rarely do ridiculous hours, but we do work very hard, every day.
You'll need to be highly organised, self-motivated and used to working as a team.
We value feedback highly, and will expect you to speak up, ask questions and share knowledge and we will do the same.
Ok, I'm in. How do I apply and stand out?
If you're excited to explore future opportunities with us, we encourage you to put in some time to stand out. Please send your resume, answer a few questions on our application form and if you can, send us a cover letter telling us how great you are... your time to brag!
Simply click the “apply now” button to submit your expression of interest.
If you any questions, feel free to email; recruitment@ywhittlesea.org.au or call 03 9407 6200
